Psychology in Everyday Language — Blog & Online Content

I’m passionate about making psychology understandable, relatable and relevant to real life. Through my blog (Connect the Dots) and social media content, I share bite-sized insights, reflections and practical strategies to help people make sense of their thoughts, emotions and coping patterns — without the jargon.

My writing is shaped by years of clinical experience, but it’s designed to feel human, not clinical. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, burnout, self-doubt or just curious about how your mind works, these resources are here to inform and support. Explore the blog or follow along for thoughtful, real-world mental health content.

Looking for a guest writer, contributor, or feature piece? I also write content for organisations, blogs and publications — get in touch to chat.

Mental Health Training & Talks

I offer bespoke training sessions, workshops and talks designed to bring psychology into everyday spaces — whether that’s a workplace, university, classroom, care setting or community group.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, I focus on delivering evidence-based content in a way that feels accessible, practical and human. Whether you’re aiming to build mental health awareness, introduce trauma-informed / neurodiversity-affirming practices, or support the wellbeing of your team, I can create a session that fits your needs.

I work with:

  • Universities & schools

  • Workplaces & staff teams

  • Care services & youth organisations

  • Conferences, awareness events & parent groups

Topics can be tailored to suit your audience. Get in touch to discuss what would work best for your team or setting.

Dr Dot’s Commitments – the 8 C’s

For first time in 7 years I now feel I have released myself from being so stuck. I also have the comfort of knowing where to go if it all goes downhill again. It has not been an easy journey to this point but very worthwhile.
