Dr Dot, Clinical Psychologist
Evidence-based insight and practical tools for real-life emotional challenges.
Welcome to Dr Dot Psychology
Hi, I’m Dr Dot — or officially, Dr Dorothy Tait
I’m a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK. I’ve worked in NHS mental health services for over 15 years, supporting people through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. My current focus is on sharing trusted, evidence-based psychology in a way that feels human, accessible and genuinely useful — whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, self-doubt or simply want to understand yourself better.
Meet Dr Dot
I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of NHS experience. I now focus on making psychology accessible, practical and human — through blogs, free resources and online workshops. Whether you're facing anxiety, burnout or struggling to make sense of how you're feeling, my aim is to help you feel supported, understood and empowered with tools that actually work.
Is This You?
You feel overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally exhausted
You want to understand yourself and your patterns
You tend to overthink, people-please or push through
You’re tired of self-criticism and want to feel more in control
You are struggling to process difficult past experiences, including childhood trauma
You support others (as a parent, carer or professional) but feel burnt out
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. You don’t need to have a diagnosis to benefit from psychological insight. My content is here to help you explore, reflect, and find ways to feel more in control of your emotional life.
